Norin Taj
Norin Taj holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy, with a specialization in Comparative, International, and Developmental Education from OISE, University of Toronto, Canada. With over 12 years of experience as an educational leader, her work centres around gender dynamics, leadership, and community engagement, focusing on advancing equity and opportunities for immigrant women and other marginalized groups.
Connecting academic research to communities, Dr. Taj has worked to support marginalized groups, particularly underrepresented youth and women. Over the past decade, she has been actively involved in community organizing, policy advocacy, and developing initiatives that address the specific needs of immigrant women in education and beyond.
In addition to her community work, she currently teaches courses at the University of Toronto and York University, focusing on leadership, gender, equity, and ethics. Through both her academic and community-based efforts, Dr. Taj is dedicated to fostering positive change and strengthening communities, with a particular focus on immigrant women.
